Nov 23, · We are having MASSIVE problems with Windows 10 Generic/Text Printer drivers. We have a huge client base out there using DOT MATRIX printers. Because DEVICE fonts are so much faster than TrueType fonts, we use the Generic/Text driver and send RAW text to the printer. Right-click the Generic/Text Only printer, and then click Properties. Click the Device Options tab. Click in the Begin Print Job box. Press down and hold the ALT key while you type on the numeric keypad, and then release the ALT key. You see "^L" in the box. Click OK.
